The responsibility of the editor is threefold:
to be a jeweller, a teacher and a private eye.

As a jeweller

The editor takes the diamond that is the writer’s manuscript and, with careful chipping, cutting and polishing, transforms it into a jewel that the writer displays with pride.

As teacher

The editor imparts craft knowledge while training the writer’s eye and ear.

As private eye

The editor serves as the much-desired second set of eyes, spotting errors and omissions, inconsistencies and possibilities for development of which
the writer may have been unaware.

Writing is personal work. Letting someone else read it closely requires trust. I don’t take that lightly.

I work directly with each writer whose work I edit, taking the time to understand the goals of the manuscript and the voice behind it. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative and grounded in craft, helping writers strengthen their work without losing what makes it their own.

My aim is simple: to give you clarity, confidence and a manuscript you are proud to share.

Books I have edited

I’ve had the privilege of working with writers on a wide range of projects, from early drafts to final polish. Every manuscript is different, but the goal is always the same: clarity, confidence, and a book the author is proud to put into the world. Take a look at a selection of books I’ve edited to get a feel for my approach.
